![]() If you have never been to Tetons In WY your missing out. The the following Day arrived at the Grand Tetons Wyoming from Grand Junction Colorado. Setup the camper along the way at one rest stop. Last year I pulled my new Solace camper with my 2005 Honda VTX 1300r bike to the Tetons In WY. Well I just lubed the wheel bearings and the wheels are great. I love it even though some to you guys stated you guys did not like it cuz it was made in China. Can't wait YEPEEEE!! Well here is an update to my Solace Camper. Well it's about time for camping again here in Colorado in about 2 to 3 months. I wish Honda still made the VTX but the last year they made it was 2009 bummer. I live in Colorado and I have been to Oregon, Cali, Nevada, Nebraska, Utah, Sturgis South Dakota and Rocky Point New York on my Honda VTX 1300. The only thing I had done was the following:Īll Balls Bearings Tree roller bearings ( not stock bearings ).Īnd Just some custom stuff added to the bike. Went out anf bought a brand new 2005 Honda VTX 1300 Full Dress. Victorys are built here and have far surpassed HD in quality in my opinion with a much more modern engine design.I had a 2002 HD Road King. HD has become complacent with their bikes banking on the loyalty of the older bikers that are willing to accept less for more money so they can have a Harley. I have owned many motorcycles and the most unreliable was American made-"go figure!" Maybe when I retire and can use my gear more often,I will be able to afford more U.S. I too, have gotten great service from imported goods. camping gear is just not always practical. I'm still working,so my avalible camping days are limited and expensive U.S. I can see paying slighty more for American goods, but not 20-40% more. If you plan on using it till it's used up then a cheaper initial offering might be a damn good idea if there aren't any significant quality issues.Well said! I'm all for buying American made goods, however the quality must justify the price. If you only expect to keep something for a year or 2 then resale is def important. but you should factor that in when you buy something. It may be true you won't get as much out of it if you decide to sell it. If you plan on using it till it's used up then a cheaper initial offering might be a damn good idea if there aren't any significant quality issues. In fact for it there isn't another unit sold (not even Road Dog) that matches it's capacity. I did end up buying a 'cheap Chinese Trailer" from Theusatrailerstore. The quality of the product has a lot more to do than just where it's made. It annoys me when people just assume that Chinese means cheap. I don't think I"d have any issue with getting a Solace. but after seeing one in person (once) and Timeout. There are some differences especially on the very first model Solace campers. I studied every video I could find about the Timeout vs the Solace. I was pretty close to putting money into a camper trailer once upon a time. ![]() I really see no difference in the construction between the Timeout or the Solace. Timeout and Solace both come with LED tail lights. Timeout did not come with rotating ball hitch mount. Timeout did not come with a Free A/C rack stand. Timeout did not come with free Cooler and Cooler Mount. Timeout came with Table just like the Solace did. ![]() Timeout came with two camping fold up chairs. Timeout came with a full size air mattress like the Solace. The Solace canvas is thicker and harder to pack up. Makes it easier to pack up then the Solace. Timeout canvas is thinner than the Solace. I not saying the one is better than the other. Here is MHO about Timeout motorcycle Camper Vs. So I decided to buy a Solace Motorcycle Camper instead. ( Ya I know it was stupid but needed the money bummer ) Well I decided to go buy another Timeout camper. Well last year I sold my Timeout Motorcycle Camper. ![]()
